Airport Transfer Checklist: What to Confirm Before You Book

A landing delayed by weather or an air-traffic hold shouldn't turn into a scramble for a ride. Confirm these four things before you book any airport transfer.

1. Does "flight tracking" mean your actual landing time?

Ask specifically whether the driver is timed against your scheduled arrival or your live flight status. The two can differ by an hour or more, and only the second one protects you from an extra wait-time charge.

2. How much waiting time is free at arrivals?

Immigration and baggage claim at a busy international terminal can take 45 minutes on a slow night. Confirm the free waiting window in writing, and ask what the per-minute charge is after that window closes.

3. Will the driver be visibly identifiable at arrivals?

A name board with your name, plus a phone number to call if you don't spot it, removes most of the stress of a first-time pickup — especially useful for elderly relatives travelling alone.

4. What's the plan if your flight is cancelled or rescheduled?

Ask whether a same-day reschedule is free, and what the cutoff is for notifying the operator. This matters most for connecting flights and monsoon-season travel.

How we handle it

Our airport transfer service tracks your live flight status automatically, includes 45 minutes of free waiting time, and shares your driver's name and number the evening before. Book your transfer and confirm your flight number at the time of booking.
